EC defers by-polls in Sindh until Dec. 4

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission has deferred all by-polls in the province of Sindh in deference of Muharram-ul-Haram until December 4 on the advice of Sindh government, following that of the Punjab.
By- polls in Sindh and Punjab’s 12 constituencies were scheduled to be held on November 17. The governments of both the provinces had sought postponement of by-polls in deference of Muharram-ul-Haram.
Election Commission has decided to hold all these by-polls after ‘Ashura’ on December 4.
